In November and December 2024, I had the opportunity to work as the Unit Production Manager on the festive action-comedy Jingle All The Slay. This feature film, packed with high-energy stunts, comedy, and Christmas chaos, was a thrilling challenge to help bring to life. Balancing logistics, scheduling, and problem-solving while keeping everything on track was no small feat, especially during the busy holiday season.
Now, with Variety announcing the film’s incredible cast and upcoming release, I’m excited to share some insights into what went on behind the scenes.
Keeping the Set Running Smoothly
As Unit Production Manager, my role was to ensure that the production ran like clockwork, acting as the bridge between creative ambitions and logistical realities.
Coordinating Cast, Crew & Equipment: With a packed shooting schedule, I oversaw transport, accommodation, and equipment deliveries to ensure everything and everyone arrived on set on time.
Managing Day-to-Day Operations: Every day brought new challenges—from last-minute script changes to unexpected weather conditions. My job was to resolve issues quickly and keep things moving.
Crew Hiring: I handled crew recruitment, ensuring we had the right people for the job while managing contracts and union compliance.
Liaising Between Departments: I worked closely with the producers, director, and department heads to align the creative vision with our logistical and budgetary constraints.
The Challenges of a Festive Action-Comedy
Filming an action-packed Christmas film meant juggling stunt sequences, location logistics, and tight deadlines, all while ensuring a smooth production. Some key aspects of my role included:
Monitoring Schedules & Mitigating Delays: With a fast-moving shoot, I had to anticipate potential roadblocks and implement contingency plans to avoid disruptions.
Health & Safety Compliance: From risk assessments to stunt safety protocols, I made sure the set was a safe working environment for cast and crew.
Managing VIP & Talent Logistics: With high-profile cast members, I coordinated transport, on-set schedules, and accommodations, ensuring a seamless experience for all involved.

A Festive Film Worth the Hustle
Working on Jingle All The Slay was an exciting and fast-paced experience. With its mix of holiday cheer and explosive action, the production required a strong logistical backbone to support its ambitious vision. Being at the heart of that process, ensuring everything ran efficiently while supporting the creative team, was both challenging and rewarding.
Now, as the film gears up for release, I can’t wait for audiences to see the final product. It’s a Christmas film like no other, and I’m proud to have played a part in making it happen. Stay tuned for more updates as Jingle All The Slay gets ready to spread its unique brand of holiday mayhem!
