It’s been a busy start to the year, and one of the standout projects I had the pleasure of working on was 100 Aker Wood — a chilling horror reimagining of the beloved Winnie-the-Pooh universe, directed by Lance Kawas.
I came on board as 1st Assistant Director and Production Manager, helping steer a tight ship through intense night shoots, remote forest locations, and all the usual delightful chaos that comes with genre filmmaking.
From a logistical standpoint, this one was full-on — multiple creature effects, complex set builds, and cast scheduling across tight turnarounds. As 1st AD, I was responsible for keeping our days on track while ensuring the director’s vision was protected and achievable. As Production Manager, I had my hands in everything from call sheets to contingency planning.
The shoot was gritty, moody, and ambitious. It's always a joy to work with a team who lean into the madness and find the magic within it. Whether it was coordinating fog machines at 4AM or managing crew morale on a frosty night shoot, this one kept us all on our toes.
More to come soon — but for now, I’ll just say: if you thought the Hundred Acre Wood was safe... think again.
